As the winter in Paris is finally winding down, spring is beginning to show. The birds are chirping, warmth is in the air, and, most excitingly, the sun is coming out more often. To take advantage of the warmth and vitamin D, we took a break from our studies and headed out to the Champs de Mars for a little walk. Daisy played ball, her favorite activity in the whole world and we people watched.
I am often amazed at the reality that we live in Paris. A block from the Eiffel Tower, no less. This experience is a dream come true for both of us and I often have breathtaking gratitude for this opportunity. Although we hoped that we would be fluent in French by now, would have managed to stay Parisian thin despite the daily chausson aux pommes, and would have traveled to every city in France, our time in Paris has been given us so much more than we ever hoped for.
Work, studying, and life keeps us busy, but we still manage to enjoy the little things that Paris has to offer, like a walk in the park.
